Think Globally, Bike Locally! PDF Print E-mail

We’re excited to announce a new program due to roll out in the early spring.  Co-op members and local bike activists Dave Cohen, Emily Wergin, and Phil Brubaker are developing our Shop-by-Bike Program, a great way to get more Co-op shoppers and Brattleboro residents to use their bikes for errands and all types of practical purposes. The program will feature regularly scheduled “how-to” workshops and demos right near the store.  It’s a great opportunity to learn about the gear, maintenance, riding technique, and the new electric-assist options that can make getting around our hills a radically different experience. The Shop-by-Bike team will also be developing a special Co-op Shop-by-Bike guide, placing tips in the Co-op newsletter, and hosting special fun bike events. So once spring begins, look out for an announcement for a celebration kickoff event and let’s get ready to ride!
