GE Food Labeling Questionnaire PDF Print E-mail

Attorney General William Sorrell issued a GE Food Labeling Questionnaire in his first official solicitation of public input on the rules that will implement Act 120– the law requiring the labeling of foods produced with genetic engineering.

All interested persons, including food processors, grocers, and other retailers, distributors, the agricultural community, and consumers, are encouraged to take the questionnaire, which is available at www.surveymonkey.com/s/vt-ago-gefoodrule, and to forward it to others who may desire to provide input. The questionnaire will be open until June 30, 2014.

Act 120 gives the Attorney General the authority to promulgate rules to facilitate the labeling of GE foods. While the Attorney General will solicit official comments on a proposed draft rule later this year, individuals are welcome to provide initial input by taking the GE Food Labeling Questionnaire, and/or contacting the Attorney General via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
