BFC Recipes: Heart Healthy Salad Dressing PDF Print E-mail

Using Flaxseed Oil, a great source of Omega 3's
• 3 - 4 Tbs Flax Seed Oil
• 1/3 Cup extra virgin olive oil
• 1/3 Cup apple cider vinegar or juice of 1 - 2 lemons to make 1/3 cup
• 1 - 2 Cloves garlic, minced
• 2 - 3 Tbs freshly chopped chives, if available
• 1/2 Tsp dried basil or
1 - 2 Tbs fresh basil, chopped
• 1 Tsp dijon mustard (or more depending on your taste)
• Salt and pepper to taste
Put all the ingredients in a quart or salad dressing jar and shake well.
Let sit in refrigerator for an hour or more to allow flavors to develop.
Store in refrigerator when not in use due to the fragile state of flax seed oil.
